TAVERN LEAGUE OF BURNETT COUNTY MINUTES
April 14th, 2026
President Chuck Anderson called the meeting to order. The meeting was held at Sand Bar. Members present were Sweeny's, Midtown, Crow Bar, Hummers, Tommy's Too High, Cabaret, Zia's, Siren National, Whiskey Joe's, 10th Hole, B & O, Voyager Village, Pour House, McGraw Lake, Route 35, Frederic Golf Course, Pheasant Inn, Fishbowl Sportsmens Club, Salty Steer and Sand Bar.
The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
Antitrust Statement was read.
Meeting was suspended for guests:
Ray and Angela from Crex Insurance attended the meeting to discuss what options they can provide to taverns, bars and restaurants in the area.
The Secretary's report was accepted as submitted.
CHARITY
Charity slips will be handed out at each meeting to fill out or you can email Kathy or bring reports anytime. Kathy will have our tabulated charity report at May meeting.
CORRESPONDENCE
League Leader Updates: None
Spring Convention Report – The convention was held March 29th – April 2nd in Green Bay. Attendance was 951 with 95 exhibits. Among topics discussed were gambling machine payouts and employee health insurance. There was a seminar about cash-flow that was videotaped and can be seen on the TLW website.
New TLBC website is up and running. Go to www.tavernlbc.com and check it out.
Make sure you are using the new TLW app. More user friendly for you to input your information and specials.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT
Reviewed latest active/inactive list from TLW.
Just a reminder that TLW is urging everyone to start paying their dues on their anniversary date. If you don't know your anniversary date please get in touch with Kathy. To make this process easier, there is an autopay option for TLW to have your dues automatically taken out of your bank account. If you are interested, please see Kathy.
Remember we have a thumb-drive from TLW that is a brief presentation as to why a business should join the tavern league.
FUNDRAISERS
Tour de Bar Books – Please get your ads and pictures into the committee. Everything is due ASAP. Cut-off date is May 15th.
TLBC Golf Tournament – Siren National is hosting. Date is Sunday August 23, 2026 starting at 11 am. Dinner will be on-site. 32 teams are locked in. 70 carts. Hole sponsorships are $100. Any new sponsors need to be in by July 1st so signs can get made.
$50 Raffle – Date is October 17th at Crow Bar.
TLW State Golf Tournament – September 21, 2026. Hosted by Adams County at Lake Arrowhead in Nekoosa.
OLD BUSINESS
Fall Caucus 2026 – To be hosted by Greater Northwoods. Still waiting for date and location.
NEW BUSINESS
Holiday Wholesale – Waiting to hear if they will be servicing our area. Replacing Tri-Mart/Midwest.
Drawing was won by The REC and donated back.
The Next Meeting:
Will be held at Cabaret on May 12th, 2026, 2:00 pm
REMINDER:
Everyone is eligible to have a meeting at their establishment if they show up for a monthly meeting. New members are encouraged to show up to see what we are all about and if you attend 2 meetings in a row you are eligible to have that next meeting. It is a great way to host and to meet the other Tavern League members.
Every Tavern League member is eligible for the next meeting except for: Hummers, Jokers, 10th Hole, Sweeny's, Route 35, Pheasant Inn, Voyager Village, Webb Lake Tavern, Salty Steer, Sand Bar and Cabaret.

Scholarship Awards Nights -: Still looking for volunteers to present:

Webster – May 6th (Genevieve will do)
Siren – May 11th (Peggy said she would if no one else volunteers)
We have a new driver. His name is Devin Rand. 715-566-4651. Make sure you are getting vouchers into Brad if you give a safe ride.
