TAVERN LEAGUE OF BURNETT COUNTY MINUTES
August 11th, 2026
President Chuck Anderson called the meeting to order. The meeting was held at the B&O. Members present were Siren National, Whiskey Joe's, 10th Hole, B & O, McGraw Lake, Route 35, Fishbowl Sportsmens Club, Salty Steer, The REC, Midtown, Tommy's Too High, Pour House, Pheasant Inn, Frederic Golf Course, Pine Wood Motel and Hummers.
The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
Antitrust Statement was read.
The Secretary's and Treasurer's reports were accepted as submitted.
CHARITY
Charity slips will be handed out at each meeting to fill out or you can email Kathy or bring reports anytime.
CORRESPONDENCE
League Leader Updates: Be sure to get out and vote at the upcoming primaries. We are not supporting any candidates until after the August elections.
Fall Caucus 2026 – August 31st in Mercer at Wolf's Den at 11 am. To be hosted by Greater Northwoods. Room block open at Great Northern Hotel. Kathy needs to RSVP count by August 21st.
League Leaders Day – Will be held August 24th at the Marriott Waterfront in Oshkosh.
Fall Convention – Will be held October 5th - 8th at the Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells. The TLW room block is open.
Keith Kern, Chuck Anderson and Greg Hunter met with members of Washburn tavern league to help them try and get their league back up and running.
New TLBC website is up and running. Go to www.tavernlbc.com and check it out.
Make sure you are using the new TLW app. More user friendly for you to input your information and specials.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT
Reviewed latest active/inactive list from TLW.
Just a reminder that TLW is urging everyone to start paying their dues on their anniversary date. If you don't know your anniversary date please get in touch with Kathy. To make this process easier, there is an autopay option for TLW to have your dues automatically taken out of your bank account. If you are interested, please see Kathy.
Remember we have a thumb-drive from TLW that is a brief presentation as to why a business should join the tavern league.
FUNDRAISERS
Tour de Bar Books – Please get your ad and book money into Deb Grobner if you haven't already. Two books with all the stamps have been turned in already.
TLBC Golf Tournament – Siren National is hosting. Date is Sunday August 23, 2026 starting at 11 am. Dinner will be on-site. Deb went over current teams and list of current sponsors.
$50 Raffle – Date is October 17th at Crow Bar. Some tickets were handed out at last meeting. If you need tickets contact Jess at the Crow Bar.
TLW State Golf Tournament – September 21, 2026. Hosted by Adams County at Lake Arrowhead in Nekoosa. 2 teams from TLBC are going so far.
We will be getting calendar raffle books at the state golf tournament or convention. We will try and get 100 books this year.
OLD BUSINESS
Nominations and Election for Board Members – Chuck Anderson made a motion to close nominations. Motion had a second. Officers will be elected at the board meeting following the general meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
None.
Drawing was won by McGraw Lake Tavern and donated back.

Will be held at The REC, September 8th, 2026, 2:00 pm
REMINDER:
Everyone is eligible to have a meeting at their establishment if they show up for a monthly meeting. New members are encouraged to show up to see what we are all about and if you attend 2 meetings in a row you are eligible to have that next meeting. It is a great way to host and to meet the other Tavern League members.
Every Tavern League member is eligible for the next meeting except for: 10th Hole, Route 35, Pheasant Inn, Voyager Village, Webb Lake Tavern, Salty Steer, Sand Bar, Cabaret, Midtown, Fishbowl Sportsmens Club, B&O and The REC.

SAFE RIDE REPORT
No vouchers this month.
Brad turned in our report to the state.
Our Safe Ride driver is Devin Rand. 715-566-4651. Make sure you are getting vouchers into Brad if you give a safe ride.
Hummer gave us a check for $5,000 from the Squirrel's Unlimited fundraiser. Chuck Anderson will talk to Tracy Finch about the best way to donate the funds.
BOARD MEETING OF DIRECTORS
A meeting of directors was held to elect officers. Those in attendance were Chuck Anderson, Kathy Vandergon, Mike Janke, Brad Burkhardt, Greg Hunter, Rick Belanger and Tim Vasatka. Brad made a motion to re-elect the current officers for another term. Motion had a second and passed.
